Pekka Joensuu

Pekka Joensuu is an expert in laboratory-based research environments, with a robust background in academic research. In recent years, he has shifted his focus towards administrative research services. Currently, he serves as the Head of Laboratory Services at the University of Helsinki, where he leads a team dedicated to supporting academic research units. Additionally, Pekka co-leads the Research Environment Project at the university, contributing to the advancement of research infrastructure and support services. His extensive experience of different academic research laboratories in five different countries is instrumental in fostering innovative research environments.
